Even from our rental car the scenery was breathtaking

another week almost gone

This a picture of an 800 year old Olive tree that we saw on our day trip to Sataf. You walk on stones that are 2,000 years old every time you go to the Old City so in that sense this tree is very young but i thought it was a cool site.

And to the left is a cave we hiked to while there :)

This Shabbos is Yom Kippur whihc means you have to fast on Shabbos. I may spend it here in Har Nof or may go to the Old City which would be amazing we'll see. Sunday friends and I are renting a car and going camping, hiking, wine tasting, and who knows what else in the Golan Heights for 3 days before Sukkos starts. I am very excited and i am sure it will be quite an adventure. Girls in skirts gone wild!! Pictures to come soon :)

1 Month in Israel!!

This is a picture with me and the America bear. It is an exhibit put on the United Nations. Each country was represented by a bear that someone from that country decorated. All this time i thought the United Nations couldn't do anything right. Who knew :)

I am learning so much and am having a great time. I just finished celebrating the Jewish new year. It was great. I am very much looking forward to celebrating Sukkos. I am going out of Har Nof for all the days!! Yay!! It will nice to discover other parts of Israel.

I can hardly believe i have been here for a month. My next challenge is to spend at least two days a week 1 1/2 hours each day working on building my text skills. I'll let you know how it goes.

I miss you all but i am having an amazing time. Come visit me :)
